Experience Activity Achievement the FUN Way
Bandana And Stars Program

YMCA Camp Weaver’s Bandanas and Stars Program is designed to help you build character and skills year after year. We all need goals, both long and short term. Goals can be set and achieved each year, or over several summers. We believe that goal setting and self-reward are important parts of life and the camp experience, and will help build strong character and create memories to cherish forever.
Campers will receive their bandana on Sunday evenings after learning the Camp Weaver Code and signing their name agreeing to fulfill the code to the best of their ability. Throughout the week campers will have the opportunity to participate in this program, if they choose, as a way to develop character and skills. This program also includes guidelines for year round development. Parents may sign a campers’ book when achievements have been made. Upon returning to camp, stars may be awarded for goals set and achieved during the school year.
During Thursday night closing campfire, campers and staff wear their bandanas and skill books will be collected. Achievements will be tabulated. Before checkout on Fridays, Stars will be awarded.
