welcome to An Experience that lasts a lifetime

"This is my campers first time at Camp Weaver. I can say nothing but good things about it. I know of nothing that needs improving other than the possibility of more kids having knowledge of your camp. We are already making plans for next year. Thank you so much for making this experience possible for my child".

- Parent of a 9 year old camper

"Well the counselors in my cabin were cool and the pool, archery and lake were awesome".

- 12 year old camper

Day camp

We believe our high-energy outdoor camp offers rising 1st through 10th graders a truly unique summer experience. Your child will spend most of the day outdoors-swimming, playing and having a great time, all in a safe, fun and educational environment. Time at camp will help your child to build character-by being kind to a friend, boost self esteem-by trying new camp activities, and gain responsibilities-by setting the table for his or her group at lunch time, and thats just on monday!.

We believe that the close-knit community at Camp Weaver will provide your child with a truly memorable summer experience. Your child will have a unique opportunity to grow, learn, and create life-long friendships-all in a safe, fun and educational environment. Time at camp will help your child to accept responsibilities - by learning how to laugh while making their bed, boost self esteem - by achieving well deserved stars at camp activities, and build character - by living the camp motto "I Am Third" and truly putting others before themselves. All this, and much more by Friday!

Horse camp

This camp is perfect for those who want to focus more time on horsemanship skills. Our program is designed to instruct campers in both English and Western riding styles, as well as hands-on horse care such as grooming, tacking, and basic health care.

Half of each day is spent at our equestrian center, and the other half is spent in other camp activities.

Facilities

Adhering to the guidelines set in place by the American Camp Association, from the carefully constructed bunks in our cabins to the nutritious meals served in Herman Hall, our facilities are well equipped and maintained with children in mind.

Camp Weaver's equestrian arena is home to both an indoor and outdoor riding ring, which offers campers the chance to ride in rain or shine.

Staff

Our counselors are both mentors and role models, which is why much time is spent searching for them.

We believe that the time children spend at camp can help build character, boost self-esteem, and help to make life-long friends.

Skill Books

Kids need goals, both long and short term. This is one reason why we encourage all overnight campers to participate in our skill-building program. Campers are given a goal assessment booklet, along with a Camp Weaver bandana and are encouraged to choose which activities they would like to earn points towards. When specific tasks have been accomplished at an activity, campers are given a star that can be adhered to their bandana. Goals can be set for the week, or they can be set and achieved over several summers.

We believe that goal-setting and self-reward are both important parts of life and the camp experience and will help build strong character and create memories that your child will cherish forever.

Health and Safety

Your camper's health and safety is our number one concern. We have a registered nurse on staff for the summer, who is available for every child's need. Additionally, each staff member is trained and certified in First Aid and CPR. Every precaution is taken to protect your camper from sickness or accident.

Meals are prepared with your active child in mind. Our food selections not only taste good but are healthy too. You can feel confidenet placing your child under our care and supervision.

Teen Leadership

Our Counselor in Training and Leader in Training programs are designed for teens that want to build leadership skills while learning what it takes to be a great camp counselor. These programs will help teens explore their talents as individuals and in groups. Our CIT program is available as a three week overnight session for rising 11th graders. We believe that these youth are the future of Weaver. Therefore, they are encouraged to work together to learn the skills needed to become positive role models, in both our camp and the community.

Our LIT program is available weekly for rising 8th and 9th graders in our Day Camp, and rising 9th and 10th graders in our Overnight Camp. While giving them a chance to participate in their favorite camp activities, these youth are given great insight into what being a leader is all about. Please contact our office for more information on either of these excellent programs.
